This face was first shown as wood type by J.E. Hamilton in his 1889 Specimens  of Wood Type and Borders.

This cut of Artistic was was not shown in either American Wood Type or the folio.

This cut is the Hamilton cut.

Hamilton also showed a sample of this design later in 1889 as an advertisement in the November, 1889 issue of the Inland Printer.
