Type in Use

A selection of projects and printed ephemera produced with the RRK Collection while under the care of the UT College of Fine Arts.

The RRK Collection is an interactive, living archive. All UT Design students have the opportunity to engage with the collection in their coursework. As a result, the variety of student work is vast and dynamic. Students interested in traditional print design use the type as it was intended for letterpress printing, as well as other print methods like silkscreen, Risograph and inkjet printing. Our digitally inclined design students bring Kelly’s wood type into logo and identity system projects, UI/UX design and front end app design, and website design. Student creativity flourishes with the opportunity to integrate both traditional and digital production methods in their use of the RRK Collection.
