  • This type measures 4 line in size and was produced with the end-cut method. The type block is stamped Hamilton, Two Rivers, Wis. which was used by Hamilton between 1891–1950s.
  • This face was first shown as wood type by William H. Page in his 1860 Supplementary Specimens of Wood Type.
  • This cut of Clarendon Extended was shown in American Wood Type on page 270 and in the folio on page 6.

In American Wood Type Kelly stated that this design was first shown by Page in 1859. It was listed in the 1859 Specimens of Wood Type price index, but was not shown until the following year in Supplementary Specimens of Wood Type.
