There is no confirmed showing of Half Rounds in the known printed specimen record.

Though Half Rounds are not shown in any surviving specimen catalog, these Half Rounds appear similar to Japanese Corners, which were quarter-circles rather than half-circles. Japanese Corners were first shown by the William H. Page Wood Type.

Vanderburgh, Wells & Company

This was first shown at least as early as 1877 Specimens of Vanderburgh, Wells, & Co’s Wood Type, Borders, Rules, &c. After buying out his partners and renaming the company eponymously in 1890, Heber Wells renamed the border No. 142.

The William H. Page Wood Type Company started showing this corner, named Corner No. 18, in 1880, and the Hamilton Manufacturing Company retained the name after the completion of the 1891 acquisition.

This was first shown at least as early as 1877 Specimens of Vanderburgh, Wells, & Co’s Wood Type, Borders, Rules, &c. After buying out his partners and renaming the company eponymously in 1890, Heber Wells renamed the border No. 136.

The William H. Page Wood Type Company started showing this corner, named Corner No. 17, in 1880, and the Hamilton Manufacturing Company retained the name after the completion of the 1891 acquisition.
